Where to Start?

Once you have studied the basics in your field guide or other resources, explore your backyard.  Look for those common wild edibles that you already know, dandelion, plantain, chickweed, henbit, depending on where you live you will be surprised.

Expand your horizon

Find other areas you can visit and explore the world of wild edibles, state parks, community parks, don't gather, just explore and become familiar.  Visit local botanical garden, take a class, once you have mastered some basic skills then find places you can legally gather nature's bounty.
